Our Values

Meet Teeny
I provide a culturally responsive and inclusive space for individuals from diverse backgrounds. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I understand the impact of systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and identity-based stress. My practice is rooted in social justice, empowerment, and healing. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, build resilience, and foster self-compassion.
I specialize in supporting individuals impacted by systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and identity-based stress. My practice is grounded in social justice, empowerment, and culturally responsive care. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and challenges related to racial, cultural, and LGBTQ+ identities.
I understand how heavy the weight of lived experiences can feel, especially when shaped by systemic injustice and generational pain. You deserve a space where your story is honored, your identity is affirmed, and your healing is prioritized. In our work together, we’ll move at your pace, exploring your experiences with care, curiosity, and compassion.

What was your path to becoming a mental health provider?
I was drawn to social work through hospice volunteer work, which shaped my commitment to compassion and dignity during vulnerable life transitions. I have worked with trauma-impacted populations, including sexual assault survivors, families involved with child protective services, and older adults in long-term care settings, providing psychosocial assessments, family support, and advocacy. Currently, I work as an independent practitioner providing individual mental health services to adolescents and adults ages 15 and older. My approach is strength-based, person-centered, and culturally responsive, with an emphasis on safety and sustainable change.
What should someone know about working with you?
Clients can expect a thoughtful, structured, and collaborative approach. My intake process is paced and intentional, focused on understanding a client’s concerns, strengths, and goals while establishing safety and rapport. Early sessions emphasize goal clarity, psychoeducation, and a shared understanding of the work. Progress is individualized and may include improved emotional regulation, greater insight, stronger boundaries, & reduced distress, with regular check-ins to ensure therapy remains responsive and client-centered. I work with adolescents & adults (ages 15+) seeking support for trauma, life transitions, stress, relational challenges, & personal growth, particularly those who value reflection, collaboration, & a strengths-based approach.
How do you continue learning and building new skills?
I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in mental health care. I regularly participate in continuing education focused on trauma-informed care, ethics, risk assessment, clinical documentation, & evidence-based interventions, and I engage in supervision and consultation to support ethical, high-quality care and thoughtful clinical decision-making. I am especially interested in deepening my skills in trauma-focused modalities, nervous system regulation, & approaches that support clients navigating complex life transitions. I value training that integrates research, clinical application, & cultural responsiveness, viewing professional growth as a continuous process that directly benefits my clients.
